New in HDR Light Studio - 9 Drop 1
Introduction | Overview | Edit Mode | Advanced Falloffs | LightPainting Curve Points
Move points and tangents
This allows you to snap select and move around points and tangent handles to edit the curve and offsets.
Snap selecting is where the crosshair snaps to the nearest point to the cursor. When you click and drag, the snap selected point moves.
Insert points or extend curve
Move the cursor around the view and see the green crosshair snap to the curve to allow you to click to insert points into the existing curve.
Or add a point onto the end of the curve when the crosshair is white and not snapped onto the curve. It extends the nearest end.
Delete Points
This allows you to 'snap select' and delete points on the curve.
Move all
This allows you to move the whole Lumi-Curve.
Rotate central curve
This allows you to rotate the central curve. Click, hold and drag to rotate the curve around the clicked location.
The appearance of the light may change as you rotate the central curve, depending on the offset type. If you have Offset Type set to Line Normal, or Freeform Offset enabled, the Lumi-Curve will rotate and maintain it's appearance when rotated.
Scale central curve
This allows you to scale the central curve. Click, hold and drag to rotate the curve around the clicked location.
The appearance of the light may change as you rotate the central curve, depending on the offset type.
If you have Freeform Offset enabled, the Lumi-Curve will scale and maintain its appearance.
Use keyboard qualifier Shift to scale horizontally only, and qualifier CTRL to scale vertically only.
Flip central curve vertically
Click to flip the central curve vertically. It will not change the tool mode.
The flip may not mirror the appearance depending on Offset settings.
Flip central curve horizontally
Click to flip the central curve horizontally. It will not change the tool mode.
The flip may not mirror the appearance depending on Offset settings.
Fix curve tangents to smooth curve
Click to fix the curve by adjusting the tangents on the central curve. The algorithm will align the tangent handle directions to flow along the curve and will scale the tangent handles to 1/3 of the distance between each point - both ensuring a sensible smooth central curve. This button is useful to use when LightPainting your curve points in a Render View, as the tangents are not able to be created and controlled during that process.
Delete all points
Deletes all the curve points, after which the panel will show Create Mode so you can draw a new curve.
